PRP & PRF

Stimulate collagen, improve texture, and restore youthful vibrance—naturally

Overview

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) and Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) therapies are cutting-edge, natural treatments that use your body’s own regenerative power to improve skin tone, restore volume, and support tissue healing. By isolating growth factors and platelets from a simple blood draw, these injectables work below the surface of the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin—key proteins responsible for firmness, smoothness, and youthful skin texture.

At Synerchi Medical Spa, we offer customized PRP and PRF therapies for facial rejuvenation, hair restoration, and post-treatment healing. Whether injected directly or applied topically during procedures like microneedling, PRP and PRF enhance skin quality over time—without synthetic ingredients or fillers. Because the source is 100% natural and derived from your own blood, the treatment is safe, minimally invasive, and widely compatible with most skin types.

Key Benefits

  • Natural Collagen Boost: Encourages your body’s own collagen and elastin production

  • Improves Skin Texture: Reduces crepiness, fine lines, enlarged pores, and surface irregularities

  • Reduces Dark Circles & Hollowness: Effective for delicate under-eye areas without the risk of puffiness

  • Supports Hair Regrowth: Increases blood flow and stimulates dormant follicles on the scalp

  • Enhances Microneedling Results: PRP/PRF accelerates healing and amplifies collagen response

  • Low-Risk, All-Natural: Uses your own biology for safe, biocompatible results with little to no downtime

How It Works

Step 1: Blood Draw & Centrifugation
Your provider will perform a quick blood draw (typically 1–2 vials), which is placed into a centrifuge to separate red blood cells from the platelet-rich layer. PRP is obtained with a faster spin, while PRF is extracted at a slower speed to preserve more white blood cells and fibrin, offering longer release of growth factors over time.

Step 2: Application
The platelet concentrate is applied to the treatment area in one of two ways:

  • Injection: Directly into specific areas such as under the eyes, nasolabial folds, cheeks, or scalp

  • Microneedling: Combined with a microneedling procedure to infuse the PRP/PRF deeper into the skin and reduce healing time

Step 3: Regeneration
Over the following days and weeks, PRP or PRF stimulates tissue repair and collagen regeneration. The treated area gradually becomes firmer, brighter, and more even-toned. For hair treatments, clients often notice thicker growth and improved scalp health within 2–3 months.

Additional Information

What It Treats

PRP and PRF can be used on multiple areas of the face and scalp, depending on your goals:

Facial Rejuvenation:

  • Under-eye circles and hollowing

  • Nasolabial folds and smile lines

  • Crepey skin on cheeks and neck

  • Dull tone and poor skin texture

  • Acne scars and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation

Hair Restoration:

  • Early-stage thinning or receding hairline

  • Sparse or weak hair growth due to stress, hormones, or genetics

  • Reduced scalp circulation

Combination Treatments:
PRP/PRF is frequently paired with microneedling, laser resurfacing, or dermal fillers to maximize results and speed up recovery.

Pre-Treatment Guidelines

To ensure safety and reduce the risk of bruising or inflammation, please follow these recommendations before your appointment:

  • Avoid alcohol, aspirin, ibuprofen, and supplements like fish oil, garlic, ginseng, and vitamin E for 5–7 days prior

  • If you have a history of cold sores, talk to your provider about taking an antiviral prophylactic

  • Stay well-hydrated leading up to your appointment

  • Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin

  • Numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area approximately 30 minutes prior

Post-Treatment Guidelines

After your PRP or PRF treatment, mild swelling, redness, or tenderness may occur. These effects are temporary and typically resolve within a few days.

General Aftercare:

  • Apply cold compresses as needed for comfort

  • Avoid strenuous activity, saunas, or direct sun exposure for 24–48 hours

  • Do not apply makeup or skincare for 12–24 hours post-treatment

  • Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol or salty foods to minimize swelling

  • A detailed post-care guide will be provided at your visit

If PRP/PRF is injected into the lips or under eyes:

  • Refrain from kissing or using straws for 3 days

  • Do not apply previously used lip balms or makeup—only use Aquaphor or Vaseline with a clean q-tip

Is PRP or PRF Right for You?

Because PRP and PRF are derived from your own blood, the treatment is highly compatible with most individuals and carries a low risk of reaction. However, it may not be appropriate for everyone.

You may not be a candidate if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Have an active cancer diagnosis or undergoing chemotherapy

  • Have a blood or bleeding disorder

  • Are currently ill, running a fever, or have used corticosteroids recently

  • Have liver disease or a platelet count below the therapeutic range

A full consultation and medical intake will be conducted prior to treatment to determine eligibility and customize your plan.
